Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Information

At Whitby Heath we place great emphasis on supporting each child to reach their full potential. If your child is identified as having a special educational need we will use a variety of strategies, e.g. differentiated work within their classroom or extra support in a small group or individual setting, to cater for their particular needs.

We have attached some information and social stories to support children in returning to school for September 2020. If you have any queries or want further resources in regards to current situation for your child with autism or orther additional needs please contact the SENCO.

Our SENd Policy and SENd Information Report are available to download below.

Comprehensive local information, advice and support for families is available at:

West Cheshire Live Well Website (previously known as the Local Offer)

The Live Well website provides information for children and young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) and their parents or carers, in a single place. It includes information from a range of local agencies, including education, health and social care. Knowing what is out there gives you more choice and therefore more control over what support is right for your child.
