School Information

Welcome to Whitby Heath’s Website. Please take time to explore the different pages and discover the many exciting activities and events we have.

Whitby Heath is a vibrant and caring community where we believe in learning to learn for life; where every child has a right to aim high and reach their potential. Our school community is also one where tolerance of and respect for each other's uniqueness is highly valued, politeness and consideration towards each other is encouraged and expected.

As you explore our site you will learn about all those who are part of our community -staff, governors, parents and most importantly, the children. You will be able to discover the many different ways our children are actively involved in the life and decisions of our school, including the School Amabassadors, the Head Girl and Boy, the Junior Road Safety Officers and the Eco Officers.

The school offers a range of activities and clubs, both during the school day and after school. These cater for a range of interests. These clubs include  choir, drama club, cookery club, and a wide range of sports clubs from tag rugby, archery, fencing to short tennis!  We have a football, netball and cross country team who enter many local competitions.

We are also pleased to work closely with S4YC who manage the ‘Breakfast and After School Club', and a 'Holiday Club' which is used by many of our families. They also manage the pre-school 'Whitby Heath Pre School' offering places for 2-3 year olds (at a separate site close by ) and 3-4 year olds within our school. Links to their website can be found on this site.

Whitby Heath is proud of the support from its Parents Teachers Association – ‘Friends of Whitby Heath’. They raise funds to subsidise many of the extra activities the children are involved in and without their help many of these activities would not happen. These have included theatre visits, in-school workshops such as visiting musicians, and many of the other school trips organised throughout the year. Make sure you visit their page and find out how you can become actively involved and about the fund raising events currently being organised.

Please take time to browse and explore our site, read information about our school, view the most recent newsletters and find out about forthcoming events.
