The BIG question: Should people be able to choose where they live?

Article 7: Every child has the right to belong to a country.

Multiplication Times Tables Check

In June, Year 4 will be participating in the new standard Multiplication Check. This will test speed as well as knowledge. Please encourage your child to use Timestables Rockstars as well as the website below.

 Useful Information

Homework

Homework will be given out on a Friday and should be handed in by Tuesday. A sheet in your child's book will provide an outline of what homework is expected each week.

Times tables

Please remember to encourage your children to continue working on mathletics and their times tables throughout the week. The knowledge of the times tables are of high importance to help with other aspects of Maths. The mathletics logins have been handed out- www.uk.mathletics.com.

Times tables tests take place on a Friday morning. Please ask your child which times table they are currently working on and test away! Your child has also been allocated a 'Times Table Rockstar' username and password where they can earn points for their knowledge of each times table and associated division facts. Let's see whether they can reach the Gold times table challenge or beyond!

PE

All children will need the correct PE kit and trainers/pumps for their PE lessons which will take place on a Wednesday. However, please ensure children always have kit in school in case there is a change of day or an extra session. Swimming begins after the February half term. More information will follow.

Reading and Bug Club

Reading books and reading records should be brought to school everyday. Please try to listen to your child at home as frequently as possible. The children also each have a Bug Club user ID and password allocated to them where they can read books online. This also enables them to answer interactive comprehension questions which will develop their reading skills further.
